 Amplify have released a new Joomla 1.5 Administration template design which has been based on Andy Millar's default Khepri theme.
Khepri - ReAmped uses the same slick interface and menu system as the default khepri theme, whilst adding a new dark/light style to your Joomla administration area.
The template header picks up from your site name, and show this text next to the Joomla logo in the top left corner.
Khepri - ReAmped is a free 1.5 admin template, based under the original GPL. Installation is simple and uses the Joomla installer to easily install this file, as you would other Joomla templates. Once installed simply assign this new theme to your administration pages giving your Joomla admin a new slick look and feel, and not affecting your frontend site design in any way.

Joomla and Zencart Bridge - Cartage |

 The Cartage Joomla/Zencart Bridge from connectage.com is close to release.
What it's all about?This new "Cartage" component for Joomla will provide an effective bridge between two open-source platforms, the cutting edge content management system "Joomla" and the powerful ecommerce platform "ZenCart". The bridge will create common logins and map user information between the two products, as well as allow zencart to sit cleanly within the Joomla pages and sideboxes from zencart to be shown around the Joomla site. This provides one of the most powerful e-commerce features available in your Joomla Content Management System website.
The work has been long in preparation, and believe it or not.. is currently in use on some live sites.. but it has taken time to put together as a user friendly Joomla component that is easily installable and configurable to the end user. Where things are at?Well... most of the core component is now nearing completion of our testing, ready for Beta release very soon. Our time has been busy over the last few months continuing to develop and support a long term project. Built upon the popular Joomla Content Management System, this project has taken a default Joomla install.. and turned it into a CMS on steroids... and then some!
It has been exciting watching the growth of a simple CMS site, through to a large site with ecommerce and multimedia facilities. The site with thousands of users is now receiving a couple of million hits per month.
From the back of this project a number of ideas and php based scripts have been born, watch this space for the release news. |
